FBISE Postpones Overseas Matric Exams in 4 Countries
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education FBISE has officially issued a notification to postpone the SSC annual examinations in select international centers. This decision, effective immediately, comes in response to the escalating Middle East conflict and the resulting regional uncertainty. The board has prioritized the safety of Pakistani expatriate students residing in areas currently facing significant security challenges.
Affected Overseas Examination Centers
According to the official FBISE statement, the suspension of the matric exams is specific and limited. The board has confirmed that examinations are postponed only in the following four countries:
- Iran
- Kuwait
- United Arab Emirates UAE
- Bahrain
Exams at all other international FBISE centers, including those in Saudi Arabia and Oman, will proceed as per the previously announced schedule.
Support for Affected Students
In an effort to facilitate candidates, FBISE has withheld the issuance of roll number slips for students in the affected zones. However, the board has introduced a facilitation mechanism allowing these students to either appear for their exams in Pakistan or travel to nearby countries where the security situation is stable and exams are ongoing. Candidates can coordinate these arrangements through the official WhatsApp helplines or email addresses provided by the board.
