Extension in School Vacations by 15 August

Minister of Education, Government of the Punjab said that the educational institutes will extend the summer vacations by 15 August. The minister said that the government gives preference to the lives of the teachers and students and in order to avoid the spreading of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country, the government keeps the schools closed till mid of August. As there is large number of students in each school and over 30 students in a class and about four students sit on one bench, which can affect them badly and it becomes difficult to keep the social distancing among the students and keep the students not to play with each other, which can cause the havoc among the students.

First government announced to reopen the schools on 01 June but due to worsening condition of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the government extended the opening of the schools till 15 July and amid this worried situation, the summer vacations can be extended up to 15 August.
