Eligibility Criteria for DUET Admissions 2026

• PhD Programs: Applicants must possess a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in their relevant field for admission.
• MS/ME and PhD Discipline Alignment: For students applying to MS/ME and PhD programs in the same discipline, a minimum of 50% and 60% marks, respectively, are required in the DUET admission test or a valid GAT / GRE / HAT General test.
• Thesis Requirement: For MS/ME programs, the completion of a 6-credit-hour thesis is mandatory.
• Interdisciplinary Candidates: Candidates applying from disciplines other than those listed are advised to verify their specific requirements before applying.

Important DUET Admission Schedule Fall 2026

• Last Date to Apply Online & Submit Fees: Thursday, July 16, 2026
• Postgraduate Entry Test Date: Thursday, July 23, 2026
• Commencement of Semesters: August 24, 2026

Note: Admissions are also open for Undergraduate Programs for Fall 2026 at DUET, Karachi. The undergraduate last date to apply is June 29, 2026, with an entry test scheduled for July 12, 2026.

 

How to Apply for Admissions in DUET

1. Register or log in directly on the official web portal at admissions.duet.edu.pk.
2. Complete and submit the online application form, then print the generated bank challan.
3. Deposit the prescribed application processing fee at the designated bank or online via 1-Bill.
4. Print out your completed application form, attach all required educational documents, and send the physical packet to the Directorate of Admissions at the main Karachi campus.
