DEA Rawalpindi Issues Directive on School Council Formation
The District Education Authority Rawalpindi DEAR has released a notification outlining the formation of school councils or school management committees. The students can get the latest updates of DEAR Issues Directive on School Council Formation.
Composition of School Councils
As per the notification, each school council or committee is mandated to have a membership ranging from nine to seventeen individuals.
Membership Criteria
The notification specifies the composition of these committees, which include two prominent figures from the locality, a retired schoolteacher, representatives from the armed forces and civil services, two parent representatives, and one member from philanthropic organizations. The education authority has urged all schools to establish their respective councils within a period of 15 days.
Reconstitution Initiative
Highlighting the significance of this initiative, District Coordination Committee convener, PML-N MNA Qamarul Islam Raja, emphasized the need for school administrators to engage educated community members in driving educational advancements. By issuing this directive, the District Education Authority in Rawalpindi aims to foster greater community involvement in the management and progress of local schools.
