The District Education Authority DEA Lahore has taken strict action against private schools that reopened during the winter holidays, sealing multiple institutions and issuing stern warnings to prevent future violations. Private Schools Shut Down for Violating Winter Vacation Rules
Among the schools affected were Oxford Grammar School Shahdara and Tehzeeb-ul-Islam School on Bedian Road, both of which were found operating despite the official vacation period. Umm-ul-Huda School in Sabzazar was also closed for the same reason. The authorities emphasized that reopening schools during holidays is strictly prohibited and warned school administrations to comply with regulations.
DEA Lahore officials stated that their monitoring and enforcement measures will continue, and any school caught operating during official breaks will face immediate closure on the spot. The education authority also clarified that all schools are scheduled to reopen on January 12, in accordance with the official academic calendar.
