Fatima Jinnah Medical University FJMU, Lahore—one of Pakistan’s leading institutions in medical education—invites applications for admission into the 12th Certificate Course in Health Professions Education. Offered by the Department of Medical Education DME, this course is specifically designed to enhance the teaching, assessment, and leadership skills of current and future educators in the health sciences sector.

Course Overview

Course Title: Certificate Course in Health Professions Education

Duration: 6 Months

Format: 3 Contact Sessions Each session is 3 days long

Mode: In-person sessions at FJMU, Lahore

This comprehensive, interactive course focuses on modern pedagogical techniques, curriculum development, student assessment, and academic leadership—empowering health professionals to become effective educators and academic leaders.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Graduate in one of the following disciplines from a PMDC-recognized or regulatory body-affiliated institution:

Medicine MBBS

Dentistry BDS

Veterinary Sciences

Paramedical Sciences

Nursing

Allied Health Sciences

Must hold valid practitioner registration with the relevant council.

Faculty members of recognized health institutions will be given preference.

Required Documents All documents must be duly attested

Copy of MBBS/BDS or relevant bachelor’s degree certificate

Valid registration certificate from regulatory authority

Experience certificate if applicable

CNIC

No Objection Certificate NOC from your Head of Department

Original Pay Order/Demand Draft of PKR 1,000/- non-refundable in favor of Director, Department of Medical Education

Tuition Fees

Government Sector Employees: PKR 80,000/-

Private Sector Professionals: PKR 100,000/-
