Considering New Grades for Matric & Inter Class Results

Karachi, Matric and intermediate classes annual exams are conducted every year all over the country and the education boards conduct the exams on their routine matter. After ending of the annual exams, the education boards start preparation of their SSC and HSSC classes annual and supply exams results and the grades are awarded to the students. Now the concerned education departments started considering the new grading system for the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12hth classes annual exams result across the country. The 171th meeting of sub inter board committee of chairmen and two meetings of steering committee have been managed and a lot of things have been settled regarding this new grading system. It is said that the final decision will be made very soon. The chairmen of various educational boards said that the present system has become old and we need to introduce modern and latest educational system.
It is said that the current grading system has 6 points, which is A1, A, B, C, D and E. Now Grade A and B will be further divided into three parts and it considered to adopt A+, A, A-, B+, B and B- and competition will become very severe among the students. They further said that we are thinking to change the grading system in Pakistan. The new grading system will be discussed in 174th IBCC meeting with the consultation of all education boards. In this meeting, the chairmen of all 32 education boards, Director Curriculum wing of four provinces, chairmen of Textbook Boards of four provinces, controller Curriculum and Controller of Allama Iqbal University. When the report will be agreed, then the proper approval will be sought from the IBCC. It is also said that the new grading system will have nine grades and the students will have to compete with each other to get better grades in their annual exams results.
