The College of Nursing, National Institute of Child Health NICH, Karachi invites applications on prescribed forms for admission 2025 to the following programs for Session 2026:
BS Nursing Generic – 4 Years Degree Program
One-Year In-Service First Aid Course
Eligibility Criteria for BS Nursing Generic Degree Program
Educational Qualification:
Intermediate Pre-Medical with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized Board of Intermediate Education in Sindh or Federal Board.
Matriculation with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, with a minimum of 55% marks.
Only female candidates with Sindh domicile are eligible to apply.
Domicile and PRC:
Candidate and her father must possess a valid Sindh domicile and PRC Form “C”.
Age Limit:
18 to 30 years as of the closing date of applications.
Training Duration:
Four years BS Nursing Program plus one-year internship.
Marital Status:
Unmarried candidates will be preferred.
Other Requirements:
Candidates must obtain a No Objection Certificate NOC from their respective departments if already employed.
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the NTS Admission Test and other relevant selection criteria approved by NICH and the Government of Sindh.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
Medical Fitness:
Selected candidates must be declared medically fit by the authorized medical board.
Eligibility Criteria for One-Year In-Service First Aid Course
Educational Qualification:
Matriculation with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized board.
Gender:
Only female candidates are eligible.
Domicile:
Must hold a valid Sindh domicile.
Age Limit:
18 to 30 years as of the last date of application.
Training Duration:
One year.
Marital Status:
Both married and unmarried candidates may apply; however, unmarried candidates will be preferred.
Selection Process:
Selection will be made strictly on merit based on an entrance test and interview conducted by the institute.
General Information
Application Forms:
Available from the Admission Cell, College of Nursing First Floor, NICH, Karachi on payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 2,500.
Forms will be issued from November 20, 2025, to November 22, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Last Date for Submission:
November 24, 2025 Monday.
Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
Verification of Documents:
Original documents will be verified after initial shortlisting.
Written Test and Interview:
Candidates who pass the NTS written test will be shortlisted for an interview based on merit.
Medical Examination:
Medical fitness is mandatory before final selection.
Accommodation:
No hostel or accommodation facilities will be provided during the training period.
Submission of Documents:
Candidates must present original documents at the time of submission and at the time of test/interview.
