CM Punjab Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship 2024
The CM Punjab Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship 2024 has been launched under the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students across Punjab, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial barriers. The Honhaar Scholarship Program will award scholarships to 30,000 students annually in 68 disciplines.
Scholarships are open to students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges. Additionally, merit scholarships will be available to students from top private institutions like LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute. The deadline to apply for the Honhaar merit scholarship is October 15, 2024.
Over the course of eight years, the program will distribute scholarships worth 130 billion rupees, benefiting around 120,000 students over the next four years. This program is designed to help students access quality education and prepare them for the global job market.
How to Apply
Eligible students can apply online through the official portal: honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Honhaar Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have domicile from any district of Punjab
- Should not be older than 22 years on the application closing date
- Family monthly income should be less than Rs. 300,000 affidavit required
- Must be enrolled in selected disciplines at selected universities/colleges in the fall session of 2024
Academic Requirements
- Medical Colleges: Minimum 80% in FSc/Intermediate
- Top Universities: Minimum 80% in FSc/Intermediate
- Public Sector Universities: Minimum 75% for Sciences and 70% for Arts and Social Sciences
- HED Colleges: Minimum 65% for Sciences and 60% for Arts and Social Sciences
