Changes in Exams Schedule and Marking Policy in Sindh

Director of Primary Education Karachi Division has made an important announcement regarding the annual examination schedule for class 4 and class 5. A notification has been issued, informing students that the annual exams originally planned to take place before Ramadan have been postponed. As per the revised schedule, the annual exams for students in the fourth and fifth grades will now commence on April 18, after the conclusion of the holy month. This adjustment aims to provide students with adequate time to prepare for their exams, considering the significance of Ramadan. The students can get the latest updates of Changes in Exams Schedule and Marking Policy in Sindh.

Marking Policy Amendment:

In recent developments, the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi BIEK has decided to introduce changes to the marking policy for certain intermediate part-I students. Acting upon the directives of Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Justice Retd Maqbool Baqar, the board has decided to grant up to 15% additional marks to students in pre-engineering, pre-medical, and general science part-I. This decision follows the approval of recommendations put forth by a fact-finding committee tasked with investigating the issue of unusually low marks awarded to intermediate part-I students this year. According to the new policy, students will receive 15 extra marks in Maths, 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Statistics each, and six in Zoology and Botany each.
