CEMB-UOK Admissions 2025 M.Phil & PHD Programs

The Centre of Excellence in Marine Biology CEMB at the University of Karachi UoK, a renowned research institution, invites applications for admission 2025 to its MPhil and PhD programs in Marine Biology.

As a recognized institute dedicated to advanced studies and research in marine sciences, CEMB offers a dynamic environment for scholars seeking to explore marine ecosystems, biodiversity, aquaculture, fisheries, and oceanography.

Degrees are awarded in accordance with the University of Karachis academic criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

For MPhil Program:

MSc or BS degree with at least 2nd Class in Biological or Physical Sciences

Must have a biology background

For PhD Program:

MS/MPhil in Marine Biology or an equivalent qualification

Admission Procedure

Submission Requirements:

Completed application form

Attested photocopies of:

CNIC

Educational certificates and degrees

Domicile

Processing fee: Rs. 6,000/- non-refundable

Payable via Pay Order in favor of the Director, CEMB

Soft copy of the application in MS Word format must be emailed to [email protected]

Scanned or PDF files will not be accepted

Additional Notes:

Candidates awaiting results of BS/MSc can apply by submitting attested results of the last two semesters from their department head.

Limited merit-based scholarships are available.

In-service applicants must apply through proper channel and provide an NOC.

Deadline for submission:

October 28, 2025 by 04:30 p.m.

Late or incomplete applications will not be entertained.

Eligible candidates will be notified via email or postal address to appear for an entry test and interview.

Class Days: Friday and Saturday

Course Fee: Rs. 7,000 per course
