BSEK Karachi Matric Science Group Results 2025 Delayed

Board of Secondary Education Karachi BSEK has announced that matric results for the Science Group will be delayed by approximately 15 days, impacting more than 180,000 students. Initially expected by July 31, the results are now projected to be released during the second week of August. This delay could disrupt academic plans for thousands of students who are waiting for their results to secure admissions into government colleges. College Admissions Face Disruption Due to Result Delay

Nearly 100,000 matric students have already applied for college placements via the Sindh Education Departments centralised online portal. Out of these, around 50,000 have received admission offers under the Centralised Admission Policy CAP. The postponement of results threatens to delay further seat allocations and may interfere with the commencement of the academic year, adding pressure on both students and educational institutions.

Sindhi Paper Evaluation Lag Behind Schedule

According to BSEK sources, the main reason behind the delay is the incomplete checking of the Sindhi language paper, a mandatory subject for the Science Group. A significant number of teachers responsible for evaluating these papers are currently out of the city on leave, leading to a bottleneck in the process. Although the board is attempting to recall these teachers, the current team of available examiners is not adequate to complete the task in time.

Administrative Issues Add to Result Compilation Hurdles

The result preparation process has also been hampered by administrative challenges within BSEK. Since the removal of the former controller of examinations—allegedly without legal authority—no new permanent official has been appointed. This dismissal violates the BSEK Karachi Act, which grants the power of appointment and dismissal solely to the Chief Minister of Sindh, who serves as the boards controlling authority.

Leadership Vacuum Raises Governance Concerns

Compounding the issue, all three deputy controllers remain suspended, and an assistant controller has been temporarily given the responsibilities of the examination controller. This ad-hoc arrangement has raised questions about legal compliance, transparency, and the board’s governance capacity. In the absence of a formal leadership structure, stakeholders are increasingly concerned about BSEK’s ability to conduct and manage examinations efficiently.
