British Council Announces Fully Funded Scholarships Program 2025
The British Council, in partnership with the Scottish Government, is now accepting applications for the Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Women and Girls for the academic year 2025–2026.
This initiative is designed to support Pakistani women in pursuing higher education by offering fully funded scholarships for undergraduate and master’s level studies at HEC-recognized universities across Pakistan.
The scholarships are available for:
4-year Bachelors degree programs
2-year Masters degree programs
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must:
Be female and citizens of Pakistan
Currently reside in Pakistan
Have secured confirmed admission or be currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s or 2-year Master’s degree program in one of the eligible fields listed below
Be studying at an HEC-recognized university in Pakistan
Special encouragement is given to women from rural areas, minority groups, and those with disabilities to apply.
Eligible Fields of Study
The scholarships are available only in the following subjects:
Education
Health Sciences
Sustainable Energy
Food Security and Agriculture
Climate Change
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics STEM – for Master’s programs only
What the Scholarship Covers
Recipients will receive financial assistance for:
Tuition fees for the entire course duration
Hostel expenses if applicable
Travel expenses twice a year from home to university and back – for students living in university hostels
Application Deadline
31st August 2025
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
