CCTV Surveillance and Biometric Verification to Ensure Transparent Exams

According to Rawalpindi Board officials, modern surveillance systems will be deployed at all exam centers. CCTV cameras will be installed to continuously monitor exam halls and surrounding areas. The monitoring system will allow authorities to keep a close watch on exam activities and help prevent any form of misconduct during the exams.

In addition to camera surveillance, the board has also decided to introduce biometric verification of candidates. This step is aimed at eliminating the possibility of impersonation, ensuring that only the registered students appear in the exams. Through this system, each candidate will have to verify their identity through biometric attendance before entering the exam hall.

With the implementation of biometric attendance, it will become extremely difficult for anyone to take the exam on behalf of another student. The verification process will confirm the identity of every candidate and ensure that the person appearing in the exam matches the official record.

Amir Khattak, who is serving as the Commissioner of Rawalpindi and Chairman of the education board, has instructed the concerned authorities to strictly implement biometric attendance procedures. Special attention has been directed toward exam centers categorized as sensitive or hard areas within the Rawalpindi Division.

He further directed officials to keep the online CCTV monitoring system fully active so that exam centers can be observed continuously throughout the exam period. This real-time monitoring will help authorities quickly detect and address any irregularities.

Khattak also stressed that maintaining discipline, fairness, and merit during the exam process is essential. He emphasized that the board will not compromise on transparency and strict adherence to exam rules during the matriculation exams.
