Balochistan Education Department Declares Summer Break for Schools
The School Education Department of Balochistan has officially announced summer vacations for all government and private schools operating in the province’s designated summer regions. With this decision, Balochistan has joined Punjab and Sindh in issuing holiday schedules for educational institutions due to rising temperatures. Public and Private Institutions in Summer Zones to Remain Closed Until July End
According to the official notification, the summer holidays will start on May 23, 2026, and continue until July 31, 2026. During this period, all schools and educational institutions located in the notified summer zones will remain closed for academic activities like study, admission 2026, exams and other activities.
The department has instructed school heads and administrative officials to complete all pending office work and institutional responsibilities including issue of syllabus, preparations for next coming exams, and start of academic activities, before the vacation period begins. Authorities have been directed to ensure that records, documentation, and administrative tasks are finalized in a timely manner.
In addition, the notification emphasized the completion of all digital census-related matters of courses for 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th classes before the closure of schools so that the students can make good preparation of their next coming exams. The department warned that if these tasks are not completed, the concerned head of the institution may not be granted leave during the summer holidays.
Officials have further directed all relevant departments and education authorities to strictly follow the instructions mentioned in the notification to maintain smooth administrative operations and avoid any complications before the vacation period starts.
