Balochistan and Punjab Release Winter School Vacation
Government schools located in the colder regions of Balochistan will observe a lengthy winter break of two and a half months, beginning on December 16. This extended closure is part of the province’s annual policy to safeguard students from extreme winter conditions. Updated Winter Break Schedule and Ongoing Exam Activities
In Chaman, exams for junior grades have already begun. As per the Education Department, assessments for students of classes 1 to 7 started on November 16 and will continue until November 24. Examinations for class 8, overseen by the Balochistan Board, are scheduled to start on November 24.
Punjab has also issued its winter vacation notification. Schools across the province will close from December 23, 2025, and will reopen on January 12, 2026, with classes resuming after January 11.
Education authorities in both provinces have instructed school administrations to complete all examinations and academic tasks planned before the winter break within the allotted timelines.
