The District Education Authority DEA Jhelum has announced that all public and private schools and colleges in the district will remain closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, in response to the current law and order situation. DEA Jhelum Suspends Educational Activities Across District for One Day
According to an official notification issued by the CEO of DEA Jhelum, the decision was made under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school staff.
Institution heads have been instructed to promptly inform students, parents, and staff about the closure and to take necessary steps to secure school premises during the suspension of activities. Additionally, school heads are required to maintain contact with field officers for any further updates.
Classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, unless new instructions are issued by the authorities. Meanwhile, the Punjab government has confirmed that all schools and colleges in other districts of the province will remain open on October 13.
