AIOU 11th Class Medical & Engineering Admission Criteria 2026
Allama Iqbal Open University AIOU has announced revised admission requirements for students seeking enrollment in HSSC Pre-Medical and HSSC Pre-Engineering programs under the Autumn 2026 Admissions. The updated policy aims to ensure that only candidates with the required academic background are admitted to science streams, strengthening transparency and maintaining educational standards across the university.
Science Background Made Mandatory for Eligibility
Under the newly introduced rules, only students who have successfully completed Matric with Science subjects will be eligible to apply for the AIOU Intermediate Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering programs. Applicants must have passed every compulsory and elective subject in their Matric Exams. The university has also clarified that candidates who received an F grade in any subject will not qualify for admission to these science-based programs.
Official Documents Now Required During Admission
AIOU has instructed applicants to attach an attested copy of their Matric Science certificate when submitting the admission form. The university has emphasized that a Matric result card alone will not be accepted as proof of eligibility. This requirement is intended to streamline the verification process and minimize delays in admission decisions.
Certificate Verification Essential for Future Academic Records
Students admitted to the first semester must also complete the IBCC verification of their Matric Science certificate and upload the verified document to their AIOU CMS portal. The university has warned that failure to complete this verification may create difficulties when issuing the final academic certificate. Prospective students are therefore advised to carefully follow the updated AIOU admission guidelines 2026 to ensure a smooth enrollment process and avoid unnecessary complications in the future.
