In a groundbreaking announcement, Punjab Chief Minister revealed an ambitious plan to distribute 100,000 e-bikes and 50,000 scholarships to students in the upcoming year. The announcement was made during a special ceremony at Okara University, where she also had the privilege of distributing scholarship cheques to deserving students. To mark the occasion, the Chief Minister was presented with portraits and photographs as tokens of appreciation. During her speech, CM Punjab highlighted that the Talented Students Scholarship Program is the largest of its kind in the nation’s history. “I’m here not just to speak but also to listen to the students,” she stated, emphasizing her unwavering commitment to advancing education in the region. Her heartfelt address was met with a positive response from the audience, as she focused on ensuring that education remains a top priority for the province.

Praise for Education Ministers Efforts

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to commend the work of Punjab’s Education Minister, Rana Sikander Hayat. “He is doing a remarkable job. Like a diligent student, he accepts criticism and continues to push forward with excellent results,” She said, acknowledging his contributions to educational reforms. She also encouraged all present to continue their search for truth in their respective pursuits.

E-Bikes and Scholarships: Empowering Students Across Punjab

CM Punjab announced that next year, 100,000 students in Punjab will be recipients of e-bikes, aiming to support their mobility and improve their access to educational opportunities. Furthermore, the scholarship 2025 initiative will see a major increase in 2025, with 50,000 students set to receive scholarships, up from 30,000 this year. She emphasized that these scholarships were not charitable handouts but rather a recognition of the students merit and potential.

Future Plans: Okara Medical College and Laptop Scheme

Looking ahead, she also shared plans to establish Okara Medical College by 2025. This initiative aims to provide local students with greater access to higher education in the medical field. Additionally, the first batch of laptops under a student support scheme is set to arrive soon, further facilitating the educational journey of students. The Chief Minister assured that merit would remain the guiding principle in the Talented Students Scholarship Program 2025, with no student being asked about their political affiliations or receiving scholarships through recommendations.
