Winter Vacations Schedule for Educational Institutions in Islamabad
The official announcement from the Director General of the Federal Directorate of Education FDE has set the winter vacation schedule for schools and colleges in Islamabad. According to the notification, all educational institutions under the FDEs jurisdiction will observe winter vacations from December 25 to December 29. Notably, December 30 and 31, falling on a Saturday and Sunday, are part of this break. Academic activities are set to resume on January 1, 2024. Adjustment in Operating Hours
Responding to the decreasing temperatures, the FDE had previously adjusted the operating hours for schools and colleges in both urban and rural areas of Islamabad. This adjustment will remain in effect until January 31, 2024.
New Timings for Single-Shift Institutes
For single-shift institutes, the revised schedule involves operating from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with an early closure at 12:30 pm every Friday.
Updated Timings for Double-Shift Institutes
Double-shift institutes in the federal capital will follow updated timings. The morning session will run from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, concluding at 12:30 pm on Fridays. The evening shift will operate from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, while the second shift will commence at 2:30 pm on Friday.
