Teachers Face Action Over Board Exam Marking Errors
Punjab Higher Education Department has initiated disciplinary proceedings against multiple teachers over serious mistakes found in the marking of Matric and Intermediate exam papers. Show-Cause Notices Issued; Inquiry Hearings Underway
Sources confirm that the names of the teachers involved have been submitted to the School Education Department. Although show-cause notices were issued on July 9, a large number of these teachers failed to appear before the designated inquiry committee as required.
As a result, the Directorate of Public Instruction DPI – Elementary has now issued new notices, instructing the teachers to attend an inquiry session today, bringing with them a written explanation for their actions.
Officials have stressed that attendance at the inquiry is compulsory, and firm disciplinary action will be taken after reviewing each case individually.
