SED Announces Schools New Winter Timings
School Education Department has announced the new winter timings of the schools located in Punjab province. The school timings will be effective for the public and private schools from today. The schools, which have single shift of students or they have double shifts, they are informed to follow the given time schedule and the schools, which have the single shift, they will be opened from 08:30 am to 01:30 pm from Monday to Saturday except Friday and the timings of the schools on Friday will be 08:30 am to 12:15 pm. The schools, which have double shift, they will work from 08:15 am to 12:15 pm from Monday to Saturday and on Friday, they will follow the timing from 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm in the second shift. The educational institutes were closed for about six months and the schools and colleges are opened now and School Education Department has issued the directions to the concerned authorities to ensure implementation of necessary measures or follow the COVID-19 SOPs. The principal and concerned controlling officer may make plan of recess for students for only 10 minutes and there will be no recess on Friday. The school authorities advised the officials of the school to consider precautionary measures in order to keep the social distancing from others during the break time. The school administration will maintain the Coronavirus SOPs to avoid any inconvenience. District education authority makes the adjustments of 15 minutes in opening and closing timings of the schools. The schools will follow this schedule from 16-10-2020 and the new time schedule is proposed for winter and this timing will be maintained by the last date of 31-3-2020.
