Rawalpindi Schools & Colleges Temporarily Closed on 7th Sep 2023
In an official statement, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Rawalpindi has declared the closure of all educational institutions within the municipal limits of Tehsil Rawalpindi on Thursday, 7th September 2023. This decision excludes the Cantonment areas and has been prompted by the upcoming Chehlum Procession. The candidates can note that Rawalpindi Schools & Colleges Temporarily Closed on 7th Sep 2023.
Reason for Closure
The notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi highlights the necessity of maintaining security and order during the religious procession as the primary reason for the temporary closure. This directive applies to both government and private universities, colleges, and schools in the specified region.
Dissemination of Information
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner has further requested the Director of Information to ensure the widespread dissemination of this announcement through electronic and print media channels. Additionally, the Private Schools Association in Rawalpindi has been duly notified.
Ensuring Safety
This precautionary measure has been put in place to prioritize the safety and security of students and faculty members during the Chehlum Procession. Normal educational activities are anticipated to resume on the following day, 8th September 2023.
