Punjab University Semester and Annual Exams Policy 2020




University of the Punjab has announced their semester and annual exams policy during the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic all over the country. The students, who are enrolled in the semester system program, they will appear in both traditional and MCQ based online exams. Punjab University Semester and Annual Exams Policy 2020.

Punjab University will manage their semester final exams from 26 August to 6 September. If the COVID-19 situation will get better before 23 August and the government allows the universities to reopen and start academic activities, then the traditional exams will be held and the students will be assessed through MCQ based online exams.

The summer breaks in PU will be continued from 01 June to 09 Aug and the online classes will be carried on till 31 May. The university will also hold the compensatory classes from 10 to 24 August, if the Coronavirus situation gets better and the government allows the universities to manage the classroom teaching in the university. If any student does not attend the online exams because of any reason, he will be allowed to appear in the traditional exams, which will be held when the government allows the academic activities in the universities.

Policy for Annual Exams

The students, who are enrolled in the annual program at Punjab University, they carry on their study as their traditional and MCQ based online exams will be held. The university will manage their annual exams in two phases.
During the first phase, the BA/BSc part 2 exams will be held from 27 July to 25 August while the MA/MSc part 2 and B.Com part 2 annual exams will be held from 07 September to 30 September. If the college and universities resume their classes before 15 July with the consent of the government, the students will appear in traditional exams, if not, they will be evaluated by the online MCQ based exams. If BA/BSc part 2 students fail to appear in the online exams, they will avail the opportunity to appear in traditional exams, which will be started from 02 December 2020. The MA/MSc part 2 and B.Com part II annual exams will be started from 04 January 2021.

In the second phase, BA/BSc, Associate Degree Science, Arts part 1 and LLB part 3 traditional exams will be conducted from 01 October. The MA / MSc Part 1, B.Com part 1, Associate Degree Commerce part 1, LLB (3 years) part 1 and 2, LLB (5 years) part 1, 2 and 3 exams will be started from 02 November. The students of the MBA / BBA / MSc IT / BSCS / M.Com and other semester system program of the affiliated colleges will be conducted as the traditional mode of exams.

The remaining exams of the odd semesters of all program, which are mentioned above and MBA / BBA / M.Com / BSCS supply exams will be started from 11 August as the traditional exams and the exams of the even semesters and annual exams of MBA, BBA, MSc IT, BSCS and M.Com will be started during the month of October as the traditional exams.
