Punjab Schools Close Till End of Pandemic

The Provincial Minister for School Education said that the schools across Punjab province remained close till the end of the Corona pandemic in the province. The education minister that the outbreak of this pandemic is serious issue for all segments of society and it can be great danger for all people but the government wants to protect the young school going kids and they want to avoid facing of this menace to the young children. Punjab Government already announced to close down the schools, colleges and universities in the province and they declared the summer vacations, which were extended to 15 July. By viewing the prevailing situation of this pandemic, the government has decided to extend the vacations and closing of the educational institute beyond this date and it is expected the opening of educational institutes will be considered during the month of August 2020. He further added that the private schools announced to open the private schools from 15 June but he warned the private schools of the strict actions, if they open the schools during this pandemic. Before this, the private school association announced to open the schools in two shifts from 07 to 10 am and from 12 to 02 pm but Punjab government did not allow the private schools to open and start the academic activities till the end of this pandemic.
