PU Announces Winter Recess for Academic Departments
Punjab University has announced a winter vacation for its teaching departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools. The break will begin on Monday, December 23, 2024, and end on Friday, December 27, 2024. This was confirmed by a notification from the Office of the Registrar issued on December 16, 2024. Resumption of Academic Activities
Academic activities at the Punjab University will resume on Monday, December 30, 2024, following the winter break. Students and faculty will have a brief pause during the cold season as part of the universitys academic calendar.
Administrative Staff Operations
While academic departments will be closed during the break, administrative staff, including those working in teaching departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools, will continue their regular duties. This ensures that university operations remain smooth and unaffected by the break.
Notification and Communication
The winter vacation notification, signed by Registrar Dr. Ahmad Islam, has been forwarded to various university officials, including deans, principals, directors, and administrative heads. These individuals are tasked with ensuring the proper implementation of the holiday schedule. The notice has also been circulated to all campuses, including those in Gujranwala, Jhelum, and Pothohar, to ensure all relevant departments and offices are informed about the scheduled winter holidays.
