PU 2nd Admission Test 2026 Undergraduate Programs
The University of the Punjab, Lahore, has officially announced the registration schedule for the 2nd Admission Test for the 2026-27 academic year. Appearing for this PU undergraduate Admission 2026 Test is a mandatory prerequisite for all prospective students seeking enrollment in undergraduate programs offered by the university. This test is tentatively scheduled for July 19, 2026, and constitutes 25% of the total merit calculation for final selection.
Eligibility and Test Categories
Eligible candidates include students who have passed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent Grade 12 education, as well as those currently awaiting final results. Students who participated in the previous admission test are also eligible to re-take this exam, with the university considering the highest score attained. The test covers seven distinct academic streams to align with specific degree disciplines:
Pre-Engineering PU-E
Pre-Medical PU-M
Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences PU-AHS
ICS Physics or Statistics combinations
General Science PU-GS
Commerce PU-COM
Registration Process and Important Deadlines
Candidates must complete their online registration by the final deadline of July 3, 2026. The non-refundable admission test fee of PKR 2500/- can be paid through HBL, UBL, or via mobile banking using 1Bill. Applicants are required to download the fee challan from the official PU Admission Portal and upload the payment proof to finalize their application.
Please note that this test qualifies students to apply for various departments, though individual program admissions will be advertised separately. For specialized degrees such as Engineering, LLB, Pharmacy, or Art & Design, additional departmental requirements may apply. For further information, visit the official university portal.
