PPSC Biometric Screening for Written Exams Security
The Punjab Public Service Commission PPSC has announced a major upgrade to its recruitment process by introducing mandatory biometric verification for candidates appearing in written Exams. The new verification mechanism will debut during the upcoming PPSC Deputy Accountant recruitment exams scheduled for July 25 and 26, marking the first time biometric authentication will be used before candidates enter Exams halls. The initiative reflects PPSCs commitment to enhancing the transparency, fairness, and credibility of its competitive Exams.
More Than 60,000 Candidates to Undergo Identity Verification
According to the commission, over 60,000 applicants are expected to participate in the Deputy Accountant written Exams. Every candidate will be required to complete biometric verification at the designated Exams center before being allowed to sit for the test. This additional verification layer is intended to confirm the identity of each applicant and ensure that only registered candidates participate in the recruitment process.
Technology Aims to Eliminate Impersonation in Competitive Exams
PPSC officials have stated that the introduction of biometric authentication is designed to prevent impersonation, strengthen Exams security, and build greater public confidence in the recruitment system. By integrating modern identity verification technology into PPSC competitive Exams schedule, the commission aims to create a more reliable and transparent selection process for Govt jobs in Punjab. The reform also aligns with broader efforts to digitize public sector recruitment and improve Exams integrity.
Biometric Verification to Expand Across Future PPSC Exams
Following its implementation in the Deputy Accountant Exams, the PPSC biometric verification system will gradually be introduced in other large-scale PPSC written Exams conducted by the commission. Officials believe this phased rollout will further strengthen recruitment standards, minimize Exams fraud, and ensure merit-based selection for thousands of candidates seeking Punjab Govt jobs. Aspirants are advised to cooperate with the biometric verification process and arrive at their Exams centers on time to complete all mandatory identification formalities before the commencement of their written tests.
