Karachi Board Final Extension for Matric Exam Registration 2025
In a significant update for matric students, the Karachi Board of Secondary Education has once again extended the registration deadline for matric exam applications. New Submission Window for Registration
The Karachi board has set a new registration window, allowing both regular and private candidates, including those from government schools, to submit their matric exam forms without late fees. Acting Director of Examinations Zaheeruddin Bhutto confirmed the extension, which runs from November 6 to November 19, 2024.
Final Deadline with No Further Extensions
Zaheeruddin Bhutto emphasized that this extension is the last opportunity for timely registration. The BSEK, in coordination with the provincial education department, has planned for the 2025 matric exams to start in March. This decision aims to ensure smooth exam preparations without further disruptions.
Late Fee Structure for Missed Deadlines
Students who miss the November 19 deadline can still register by paying a late fee, which will increase at regular intervals:
- November 20 – December 3, 2024: Rs. 500
- December 4 – December 17, 2024: Rs. 800
- December 18 – January 1, 2025: Rs. 1,200
- January 2 – January 15, 2025: Rs. 1,500
- January 16 – January 24, 2025: Rs. 1,800
- After January 24, 2025: Rs. 2,500
Important Reminders for Students and Schools
The extended deadline allows candidates more time to register without late fees, but students and school administrators are urged to complete submissions within the new window. Missing deadlines will result in higher fees, which increase progressively, making it essential to register on time to avoid extra costs.
