IUB Tops in HEC Online Education Classes Ranking

Bahawalpur, Islamia University Bahawalpur is included in the top ranking universities of HEC with 100% scores. The Higher Education Commission has issued the ranking of 106 universities of the country in the preparation of online classes, its implementation and becoming effective in the online classes. Due to coronavirus pandemic in the country, the universities are closed down and on the directives of HEC, the HEC recognized universities started the online education to their students. All of the universities developed their Learning Management System and through this LMS, the students are getting education while staying in their homes. The department of Information Technology and Directorate of Academics made the emergent initiatives to start the online classes for the students, in order to save their time and investment of their parents. In the first phase, about 25000 students took the advantage of this system and about 800 teachers worked hard with their students and in this way, the spring semester was completed.

During this time, some of the students faced the problems of internet and the IUB facilitated their students with the provision of USB and printed material and the guidance through the landline phone. The course material and the audio video lectures are provided to the students through LMS. Now the IUB has announced the composite online exams and after that the admissions in the next semester will be announced.
