Govt Satellite Education TV Channels Launching
Allama Iqbal Open University AIOU has made the collaboration with Federal Education Ministry to sign the agreement for the launching of the satellite education tv channels across the country. The federal education minister and VC of AIOU signed the agreement in an official ceremony here in Islamabad.
According to Govt Satellite Education TV Channels Launching, AIOU will manage the launching of multiple educational tv channels and they will broadcast education-related content for millions of the students. The process of launching of the tv channels will incur total cost of Rs.570 million and it will take five to six months to complete the establishment of the tv channels across the country. The education minister directed the Higher Education Commission to cooperate with AIOU for the setting up of the satellite education tv channels.
The former education minister started their radio channel and the tele school on PTV during the first wave of Coronavirus. These initiatives helped the students to impart education to them during the Coronavirus-induced lockdown.
