FPSC Introduces New Format for CSS Examination from 2026
The Federal Public Service Commission FPSC has announced a significant change in the scheduling of compulsory papers for the CSS Competitive Examination starting in 2026. According to an official notice, the commission will now hold only one compulsory paper per day, replacing the previous format of two papers in a single day. Single Compulsory Paper Per Day to Simplify CSS Exam
This adjustment is intended to make the examination process more manageable for candidates and to ensure the smooth administration of the CSS exams. FPSC has stated that a detailed timetable for the examination will be released separately, and candidates are encouraged to check the FPSC website regularly for the latest updates.
The notice was issued from Islamabad on December 17, 2025, and was signed by Zafar Abbas Memon, Director CE of the Federal Public Service Commission.
