University of Turbat is the second general university in public sector and the main objective of the establishment of the university in Makran region to provide the better opportunities of the higher studies of the students, which is also providing education to the students of the districts of Gwadar, Panjgur and Awaran. The huge number of students enrolls in this university in different departments including the faculty of arts and social sciences of political science, English, education, social sciences, Balochi language and culture, management sciences, economics, commerce, computer science, chemistry, natural and basic sciences. Being the remote area of Pakistan, these regions were lagging behind in education and all areas of development and the establishment of this university will give them the chance to get higher standard of education at the graduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programs. The students, who complete their inter or graduate education, they can apply for admission in the higher classes so that they can complete their education and they can contribute in the development of Pakistan in general and Baluchistan in particular.
