About Peshawar Medical College

Peshawar Medical College started its first academic session in March 2006 and this college started giving education to the students. this college is recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. This medical college is providing education to the students in various departments including General Medicine, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and others at the graduate level. This institute provides the higher learning programs at the master, MPhil, FCPS, MCPS, Postgraduate dental education program and MSc in Community and Preventive Dentistry and Dental Sciences. This institute has the objective to establish, manage, promote and maintain the educational institute for study and research for basic education, adult literacy, advanced studies and other educational activities. It helps to promote, organize, administer, manage and maintain orphan centers to provide food, education, medical care and counseling to deserving orphans. This medical institute takes the appropriate measures to address issues of refugees with the provision of education, technical skills, feeding, medical facility and assist them in repatriation and resettlement.

This medical college is attached with 7 teaching hospitals for the clinical training of medical and dental students and they are recognized for postgraduate training in clinical disciplines.
