About Pakistan Ordinance Factory Institute Of Technology

The POF Institute of Technology (POFIT) was established in 1967 under Pakistan Ordinance Factories POF, Wah Cantt. POFIT was a Technical Training Center TTC and aimed to provide technical skills to the students. The POF Institute of Technology was affiliated with Punjab Board of Technical Education PBTE, Lahore. POFIT currently offers technical training in various trades like CNC Machining, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Controls, Power Systems, Advance Electronics and Electrical Technology and mechanical technologies.

POFIT is spread over an area of 21 acres. It has Admin Block, Lecture Blocks, Basic Shop, CNC Shop, Electrical and Electronics Shops, Fabrication Shop, Chemical Lab, Physics Lab, Computer Lab, Canteen, examination Hall and Auditorium. POFIT offers the following regular training programs to meet POF training requirements for following levels of employment.

18 months (72 weeks) Apprenticeship Training program. Short term (04 to 12 weeks) Training modules in 23 different areas of specialization. Training in Apparel Manufacturing (Designing, Drafting, Cutting, Sewing, Inspection) on conventional as well as CNC Machines. Three (03) Years Diploma of Associate Engineering Course conducted under affiliation with Punjab Board of Technical Education, Lahore. One (01) year Post Diploma course in Bio-medical technology conducted under affiliation with Punjab Board of Technical Education. Basic Orientation Training for newly inducted employees in workers, staff, and officers cadre. Management Training Programs for the Officers.
