About Karakoram International University
Karakoram International University was established in Gilgit in 2002 and its campus at Skardu was established in 2011, which was upgraded as independent university in 2017 as the University of Baltistan. Before this university, the students of this region have to go to other provinces to complete their undergraduate, graduate and master degree education and now they have chance to get education in this university, which has maintained the higher standard of education in science, commerce, IT, business administration, social sciences, humanities and management sciences.
