IBCC Not Deduct O & A Level Marks for Equivalence
Inter Board Committee of Chairmen has decided not to deduct 15% marks during the O & A levels students equivalence. The Cambridge cancelled the June series exams and they announced to have the internal assessment policy. IBCC has made this policy for the students and it is also applicable for the students for International Baccalaureate and the American System of Education and others. The IBCC steering committee meeting was held, in which the policy was formalized to assist the Pakistani students, who are enrolled with international exams system. The students, who appeared in the country specific compulsory subjects exams, like Islamic studies, Pak studies and Urdu, they will be given the minimum passing marks. It was decided to deduct 10% to 15% marks from total obtained marks at the time of equivalence and the result will be announced on the basis of internal assessments.
It was decided that all of the students, who are registered with local boards to appear in the Urdu, Pak Studies and Islamic studies exams, they will be given minimum passing marks. The large number of Cambridge and other foreign board registered students appear in the exams of these subjects from local boards, they meet the basic requirement of IBCC equivalency in the particular cases and all these students will be passed in the exams.
